The collections of the 14 municipal museums of Paris are composed of more than 1 million objects ranging from archaeology to contemporary art and brought together in a single institution, Paris Musees, founded in 2013 with the main mission of developing and highlighting the museums’ collections.

Since May 2014, an ambitious project of a global platform to publish the objects, the books and archives has been launched. Organized on a 3 year plan (from 2015 to 2018), the result will be a semantic, open-data and collaborative online platform.

The first version is available since May 2016 with more than 200 000 objects.
