Manager of the Images d’Art project
Description of the workshop
The Réunion des musées nationaux-Grand Palais, a major French cultural operator for National museums and the Grand Palais in Paris, runs a million-image online fund. How to make the fund more open, easier to publish online, linked to useful data, more explorable and more enjoyable? The workshop will show the project steps over 3 years and put them into perspective with other major digital art projects. We will also explore opportunities for museum content.
The workshop will go through the project steps and challenges over 3 years, from the original database to the website and the API. I will also put them into perspective with other major digital art projects and also explore opportunities for the project – and more generally for museum content.
Isabelle Reusa has a dual experience in cultural and digital projects. She started in London working with live performances and produced her first show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 1997. She later worked at the Odeon National Theatre and oversaw exhibitions at RMN.
She had also worked in a digital web agency a few years before joining the “Images d’Art” project at RMN-Grand Palais, a website and API to unlock one million digital images to the public.
