Head of Press and Public Relations
Description of the workshop
This talk will present examples of Social Media trends which help to boost the permanent collection, which suffers from lack of news, and to emphasize on exhibitions, which suffer from the prohibition of taking pictures and thus constrain viral online communication.
This talk is a plea for following the development of hashtags and joining existing hashtag communities instead of creating new hashtags. About five different Social Media hashtags and their translation into the museum context will be presented.
The Kunsthalle Bremen has taken part in two of these trends and thus I will share our ways of implanting the ideas, the challenges we faced, the reaction of the audience and of the response of the media.

Jasmin studied Art history in Munich and Business in Geneva. She worked in an Artist Studio in Paris, for Siemens in Istanbul and for a subsidiary of Bertelsmann, again in Paris.
Working in the private economy didn’t appeal to her in the long run, so since 2010 she is back to the museum world. Since 2012 she works at the formidable Kunsthalle Bremen.
